Vertiefungstage der dritten Klassen
Classes 3a and 3b of the NMS Pottendorf started their study project about ancient civilisations with a trip to the Heindl Chocolate Museum in Vienna. Here, the pupils learned about the Aztec connection with today’s chocolate bar and discovered the importance of the cocoa bean for ancient cultures.
The bilingual project continued with Aztec, Incan and Mayan cultures being studied in more detail and the pupils were all ears as they listened to stories of wealth and sacrificial rituals. The colourful masks that were created looked fantastic, but nothing could top the opportunity of making and drinking hot chocolate like the great Montezuma!
