Classes 1a and 1b got up close and personal with several breeds of horse from all over the world last week at “Apropos Pferd” in Wiener Neustadt.

The largest fair of its kind in Austria gave the pupils a fantastic opportunity to witness sports such as polo and western riding at close proximity in an outdoor arena. Indoors, a show jumping competition held the pupils captive as they waited with baited breath to see which horse would clear all the jumps in the fastest time.

The highlight of the day for many of the children was in the stables, where they met the horses, their owners and trainers and were even allowed to stroke the magnificent animals.
