A warm breeze blew away the winter cobwebs for classes 1a and 1b of the Mittelschule Pottendorf

when they took part in the annual clean-up of the community.

On Friday before their Easter holidays, the children from both classes took to the streets of Pottendorf to

collect any rubbish they found lying around. Over 20 bags of rubbish were collected from around

the village. The pupils were quite shocked by the amount of cans, wrappers and bottles that had

been discarded. They were also astounded by the number of facemasks that they found littering the

green areas of their village.

After a morning of collecting, the pupils decided that they would make a conscious effort to recycle

more when possible and encourage their family and friends to do the same.
